Dr. Clark Ausloos is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional School Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. At the University of Toledo, Dr. Ausloos conducts research, facilitates undergraduate and graduate courses in counseling and has provided clinical counseling services to college students. Dr. Ausloos has presented at regional and national conferences, and was an esteemed speaker for the TEDx Way Public Library Program. Clark also holds degrees and certifications in music, theatre, fitness and nutrition.

To foster resiliency and growth with clients, Dr. Ausloos uses a warm, person-centered, humanistic framework in his counseling sessions, while utilizing evidence-based treatments through a wellness and solution-focused lens. Dr. Ausloos has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and college-aged clients, treating depression, anxiety, anger, grief, self-harming behaviors and identity and life-change issues. Dr. Ausloos is passionate about diversity and working with LGBQA+ clients, transgender and gender expansive clients, multicultural populations, and clients of varying ability and disability statuses, and intellectual and developmental levels. 

Dr. Ausloos is also passionate about counselor professional identity, leadership and advocacy, and was recently awarded the Chi Sigma Iota's Outstanding Practitioner Award, as well as the National Board for Certified Counselors Minority Fellowship, a federal grant program aimed at supporting the work of professional counselors and their research and clinical services with under-served populations. He was recently appointed as a Chi Sigma Iota International Leadership Fellow. In 2018, he was recognized as the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision Graduate Student Representative-Elect, as well as the NCACES Outstanding Graduate Student, and CSI International (Alpha Omega) Doctoral Student of the Year (2019). In 2016, was recognized as the Northwest Ohio Counseling Association's Emerging Leader. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Ausloos works closely with local theatre organizations, choirs and show choirs, choreographing, directing and consulting.  You may also find him at the gym, watching The Office, playing piano, or engaging in philosophical discourse.
