Laura is a Cleveland, OH native who is happy to call northwest Ohio home. She is an independent practitioner, with extensive experience in prescribing psychotropic medications. Laura has continued passion to remain updated and knowledgeable on evidence-based practice to provide the best care possible to patients.
Laura obtained her bachelor’s degree from Ursuline College and her master’s degree in nursing from Kent State University. In 2010, she completed her advanced practice psychiatric nursing certification. Laura practiced as a psychiatric nurse at the Cleveland Clinic for over 5 years, where she received the majority of her early training.
Laura also worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, providing consults to medically complex patients with psychiatric co-morbidities for almost 10 years. In addition to her clinical work, Laura has given health advice to primary providers through the Behavioral Health Provider Advice Line and has been a behavioral health guest speaker at multiple events and symposiums.
Laura has extensive experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a variety of complex psychiatric disorders, including mood, anxiety, OCD, psychotic, ADHD, PTSD, autism spectrum, reactive attachment, disruptive, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.
In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and is married with 3 children.
