Therapist
Paula Zaft Basch is a Licensed Independent Social Worker. She attended Tel Aviv University for three years and completed her undergraduate program in Social Work at the University of Toledo. She obtained her MSW from Case Western Reserve University.
Paula began her career as a prevention specialist, developing, training, and presenting the Sexual Abuse Prevention Program for all Lucas and Wood County schools. She worked as a therapist both at Harbor and Unison providing individual, family, and group therapy.
Paula also worked at River Centre Clinic for five years providing therapy for clients with eating disorders in a partial hospitalization setting. She worked in a private practice in Sylvania for fifteen years treating clients for anxiety, mood disorders, marital therapy, women’s issues, life transitions, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and trauma.
She co-created and facilitated the CoPE program (Co-parenting effectively) for the Lucas County Domestic Relations Court. She now assists couples as they transition through the difficult process of divorce.
Paula utilizes evidence-based therapy including Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral and ACT. She is energetic, passionate and committed to the therapeutic relationship to insure individualized care.
In her free time, she enjoys live music (especially in New Orleans), the arts, reading, and traveling to the West Coast to visit her children and grandchildren.

Paula provides online tele-health services via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. At this time Paula does not provide in person services
